Signs of a scam
- The seller asks for a deposit or full payment before you see the item.
- The price is far below what similar items cost.
- The seller refuses to meet in person or to talk on the phone.
- You are asked to send money through a friend, an agent, or an unknown account.
- The seller pushes you to decide right now.
How to buy safely
- Meet in a busy public place during the day, ideally with a friend.
- Check the item carefully before paying — turn it on, drive it, look at the documents.
- For cars and property, check the documents and the owner's identity before any money changes hands.
- Pay only when the item is in your hands.
How to sell safely
- Do not hand over the item before you have received the money in full.
- Be careful with buyers who send a payment receipt but no money arrives.
- Never share your login code with anyone. Bazaar will never ask for it.
If an ad looks suspicious, use “Report” on the ad page. Ads reported by several people are hidden until a moderator checks them.
